On Sunday, September 21st,

we welcomed a single golden retriever puppy into the Blue Moon Acres Family!

He made his arrival at 6:30 a.m., weighing a perfect 15.5 ounces, with a dark golden coat.

Blaze is a bright, outgoing pup brimming with confidence and personality! He approaches new experiences with enthusiasm and curiosity, taking everything in stride. Rarely startled, he shows strong nerve strength, resilience, and a natural ability to adapt.

Blaze enjoys being with his family, yet he’s also quite independent. He loves to be part of the action without needing to be in your lap — happy to stay close, but just as content doing his own thing.

Like his mom, Sadie, Blaze has a strong play/prey drive. He’d make a wonderful hunting companion, travel partner, or outdoor adventure buddy.

Because Blaze grew up as a solo pup, he started out a bit mouthy while learning bite inhibition. With consistent training and positive role models from the big dogs since five weeks old, he’s made great progress. Still, he can occasionally get overly excited and forget that hands aren’t toys. For this reason, Blaze would do best in a home with another well-balanced dog and children over six years old.

His forever family should plan to continue his training — reinforcing calm, respectful behavior and avoiding overly exuberant play that might trigger his chase instinct.

Blaze will thrive in an active home that offers plenty of play, structure, and adventure. He’s a smart, sweet boy who genuinely wants to please and will reward his people with loyalty, fun, and heart.​
