On Sunday, September 21st,

we welcomed a single golden retriever puppy into the Blue Moon Acres Family!

He made his arrival at 6:30 a.m., weighing a perfect 15.5 ounces, with a deep red-gold coat just like his daddy’s.

This tiny little life has already filled our hearts. Every time we bring a new puppy into the world, we’re reminded why we do this; why we make time for it even when life is busy. Because each new puppy is a reminder of the joy this work brings - giving a future family the gift of a best friend.

With a little love and patience, this boy will soon open his eyes, take his first wobbly steps, and discover the joy of play. Before long, he’ll be ready to become a loyal companion and a cherished member of someone’s family, forever.

We've decided to call him Blaze for the 8 special weeks he'll spend with us. The name reflects the rich colors of autumn and the meaning of “a bright flame or fire,” symbolizing energy, brightness, and a bold spirit. Only time will tell if the name truly fits him, but for now it feels just right.

And so our search begins—for the perfect family to give Blaze the loving, safe home he deserves. A family who will treasure him as much as we already do.
