Our Breeding Pair

  • We vow to plan litters with a goal in mind and will not overpopulate. 

  • We vow to breed only health, temperament and structure tested dogs.

  • We vow to choose breeding pairs which accentuate each other in health and temperament.

  • We vow to honor and respect dams and sires at all times to keep them healthy and happy. 

  • We vow to provide a safe, loving environment with high quality vet care.

Our Puppies

  • We vow to provide a structured curriculum to ensure that puppies learn the world is safe, people are kind, and dogs are friendly.

  • Puppy development –

  • Evaluate puppies after 49 days old. 

  • We vow to take full responsibility for our dogs.  If at any time, you cannot keep your dog, please return it to us, no questions asked.

  • We vow to offer a 2 year genetic health guarantee.

Our Clients

  • We vow to provide transparency, allowing the client to choose the best puppy for their needs.  To do so, we will provide a litter packet to each client including evaluation records, veterinarian health check records, temperament records, and videos for the entire litter.

  • We vow to guide clients in choosing the best puppy for their needs.

  • We vow to provide take home education and resources.

About Us

Our dogs are our family

After 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, our family chose to settle down on a beautiful ten acre Homestead in Priest River ID.  We are a little over an hour north of both Spokane Washington and Coeur D’Alene Idaho.  We enjoy raising a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and honeybees at Blue Moon Acres.

After 20 years of service in the United States Marine Corps, our family chose to settle down on a beautiful ten acre Homestead in Priest River ID.  We are a little over an hour north of both Spokane Washington and Coeur D’Alene Idaho.  We enjoy raising a variety of animals including dogs, cats, chickens, rabbits, and honeybees at Blue Moon Acres.

We understand that adding a puppy to your family is a big commitment!  We want your dog to fit into your family and live a long, healthy life.  It is our priority to ethically breed for health, temperament and intelligence.  Our puppies go through a comprehensive curriculum so that they are empowered and well adjusted when they transition to their forever home.

OUR STORY

 

This is two part

​

Breeding has been in the back of my mind for as long as I can remember.  I have always loved dogs.  During school I toyed with every possibility of working with dogs, from running the Iditarod, to getting certified for search and rescue, to opening a kennel.  I actually began to write a business plan once!  However, the older I got, the more I thought I needed to go to college and follow a more traditional path.  After having accomplished that, I have realized that my happiness still lies within my dogs. 

 

Our dogs are our family!

The final push that led me into breeding was that our family had the experience of adding a furry family member with a lifelong immune-mediated disease (Koda).  His disease has cost us thousands of dollars over his lifetime, but more importantly, he has had a poor quality of life.   

​

No dog or family should have to go through what he/we have.

​

We chose to step into the breeding world to do everything in our power to prevent other dogs & families from experiencing health issues.
